T90 to T104 series of rheology modifiers represent the latest advance in synthetic Hydrophobically
modified Alkali-Swellable anionic associative Emulsion thickener (HASE) technology. T90 to T104
series provide customers the opportunity for thickener consolidation with improved performance in 
architectural and functional coatings. 


T102 is a base-activated ultra-high efficiency thickener for KU and Brookfield viscosity. It provides a
high shear thinning rheology profile. It is typically recommended for interior flat through sheen and
satin paints, and is an excellent thickener for paints designed for spraying application and thick application with steric features. T102 provides application and feel properties very similar to medium to high grades of cellulosic and hydrophobically modified HEC thickeners with outstanding roller spatter resistance. It is a low cost/high performance alternative to cellulosic thickener. It is supplied at
30% solids and low viscosity for easy pour and pump, incorporation and rapid viscosity. It is highly
resistant to attack by microbes and their enzymes.





Application:

T102 is compatible with many other rheology modifiers. It is particularly well suited to vinyl-acrylic,
low-sheen interior formulations, including above CPVC low volume solids paints. Depends on the
rheology profile desired, T102 can also be used with other thickeners such as T90 and T100 to
balance the properties of sag resistance and flow/leveling. In particular, the use of T102 as a co-thickener improves the sag resistance property. In high-PVP and low solids formulations, T102
provides good viscosity stability to colorant additions.
